The college has an Anti Ragging Committee in accordance with the University notifications to prohibit the occurrence of ragging within or outside the campus Act 2011.

Objectives

  • Prevent the occurrence of ragging by following institutional regulations.
  • Spread awareness about the dehumanizing effects of ragging in the institution.
  • Keep close surveillance to prevent ragging incidences.
  • Publicize anti-ragging laws, policies, and disciplinary actions across the college.
  • Take necessary action against reported ragging incidents.
  • Create a disciplined environment by clarifying that ragging in any form is a punishable offense.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and laws concerning ragging.

Functions & Responsibilities

  • Create awareness among freshers.
  • Ensure an overall disciplined environment in the college.
  • Display anti-ragging notices in various locations on campus.
  • Conduct surprise raids on campus.
  • Take timely action against erring students.
  • Organize awareness programs to educate students about the evils of ragging.
  • Explain to senior students the adverse effects of ragging and punishments involved.
  • Conduct inquiries into reported ragging incidents and submit recommendations to the Anti-Ragging Committee for action.
