The college has an Anti Ragging Committee in accordance with the University notifications to prohibit the occurrence of ragging within or outside the campus Act 2011.

Objectives



  • To prevent the occurrence of ragging by following the provision of regulations in the institution.
  • Spread awareness about the dehumanizing effect of ragging in the varsity.
  • Keep close surveillance over ragging to prevent the occurrence and reoccurrence of ragging incidences.
  • Give wide publicity regarding anti- ragging laws , policies, and the action that can be taken against those indulging in across the college
  • Take necessary action against the ragging incidents brought to our notice.
  • Create disciplined environment by clarifying that any act of ragging in any form shall be punishable offence.
  • Ensure compliance with the provisions of regulations as well as the provisions any law for the time being in force concerning ragging.

Functions and Responsibilities

  • To create awareness among the fresher’s.
  • To ensure overall disciplined environment in the College.
  • To display anti ragging notices in various location of the campus.
  • To conduct surprise raids in campus.
  • To initiate timely action against erring students.
  • To sensitize students about the evils of ragging and its prevention in the College. Campus by organizing talks/ programs etc.
  • To explain the senior students regarding the adverse effects of ragging and punishments involved.
  • To conduct an on-the-spot enquiry into any incidents of ragging referred to it by any member of the faculty or any student or any parent or guardian or any employee of a service provider as the case may be; and the enquiry report along with recommendations shall be submitted to the Anti-Ragging Committee for action.
