PROFILE

The Department of Microbiology was established in 2024 with the primary goal of providing high-quality education in microbiology, while emphasizing its significance in the context of global advancements. We offer undergraduate (B.Sc.) program in Microbiology, all designed to foster scientific knowledge and practical expertise in this ever-evolving field.

The Department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories, providing students with hands-on experience and access to cutting-edge research tools. Our curriculum is problem-based and skill-oriented, empowering students to understand the role of microorganisms in human, animal, plant health, the environment and industry.

Microorganisms play a vital role in maintaining the balance of life on Earth. They are crucial for the biological processes of all living organisms, contributing to the planet’s biodiversity and homeostasis. Without microbes, the Earth would not support life as we know it, and the universe would be biologically barren. Given the vast diversity of microbial activities, the microbiology program integrates life sciences, environmental sciences, and engineering, offering a multidisciplinary approach to understanding microorganisms.
